BE KIDS Annual Party 2009 Features Speech By Professor Allbrook

“This is a party—and we’re here to Be Kids!” With these words, guest-of-honour, Professor David Allbrook, set the tone for the Be Kids’ 2009 Celebration Dinner & Dance on 2 May 2009. Professor Allbrook has worked extensively in Africa improving medical education.

The 2009 BE KIDS annual celebration drew a crowd of members and supporters to the Royal Australian Airforce Association Club for an evening of music, dance, entertainment and an auction of artwork by children living in the Korogocho Slum in Nairobi. Thanks to the generosity of BE KIDS members, supporters and raffle prize donors, the Celebration Dinner & Dance raised $5,810 for our projects

New Board Member To Be Announced at Upcoming AGM 

After three years of wonderful work, Julia Hayes will be leaving the Board.  Julia has provided invaluable assistance fostering and maintaining BKA’s relationship with Rotary which has helped us realize our project goals.  We are grateful for Julia's commitment, support and advice and pleased that she will be continuing on as a member of BKA.  We look forward to welcoming our new Board member at the AGM.

2009 Annual General Meeting Is Announced

It’s that time of year again for our members to gather for BE KIDS AUSTRALIA’s AGM.  Join us for our year-end review and a screening of a DVD about the Kengele Children Network Program in Nairobi.
